Bill Dan's balanced sculpture seems to many viewers to violate laws of Physics and the Law of Gravity. It doesn't, of course. In fact, it is an excellent example of how gravity and physics work together in everything from atoms to stars. Public demonstrations in a scientific and educational setting such as the one Bill did for Zeum in San Francisco allow visitors to marvel not only at his skill and artistry, but also at the power of the fundamental forces at play in the universe. The California Academy of Sciences invited Bill for a similar workshop during its 2006 Hotspot exhibit.
