Title : BALANCING BEAVERS
"Balancing Beavers was originally painted as a two page spread for a picture book about two stuffed animals that wander from home and discover a tribe of stone balancing beavers. It was never completed and I have since moved on to other projects, so I'm selling the paintings as individual pieces. The story was inspired by canoe trips with my children in a stream near our house in Doylestown Pennsylvania where we discovered balanced rocks and beaver dams."

"Built on the shores of Prince Edward County south of Picton, ON this was the only piece I built that day. Some of the base stones were a 100 plus lbs. and moving them by myself through the water was a challenge. As the day grew the light through the window changed in color and textures and framed the sunset perfectly."
