[ New ] - Modestly offering himself only as an Occasional Balancer, lithotao has posted a fantastic collection of balances, stacks, and what he calls "homemade inside compositions". Full of wit and whimsy, His Flickr photo set, Rockbalancing in the gorge of Covatanne, Switzerland, promises - and delivers - "Stones in all states"!

[ New ] - Dustin Brown began balancing in high school, going to shorelines near his Connecticut home. There he eventually met Balancer Jerry Kuyper, with whom he has collaborated on some balanced sculptures, and who has contributed greatly to this site. Dustin has done garden and public installations, and recently launched Spire Upward, a website devoted to his art and thoughts, one of which is shared here on a Reflections page.

[ Upgraded from Learner ] - With enough "Frequent Balancer" miles to qualify, Gilles Charrot, French humorous cartoonist and former Learner on this site, has been upgraded to Balancer status. As well as fulfilling the inspiration he received from Bill Dan, he provides real-time images during seminars, symposia, and the like, and uses "magnetism" to help heal people (free). He currently has no personal web space -- his images are hosted in a directory here and can be seen in a Guest Slideshow

[ Newly Identified! ] - Artist/Web Designer James Franssen captured in numerous photos the spirit and work of several capable rock art practitioners in Eugene, Oregon, who were "balancing for peace" -- so, we might think, are they all, as is James with his work and art. The young woman seen working here is one of the few female practitioners yet found. She has written to say that her name is Elizabeth Foley, and that she and her partner (below) "have been balancing for six years now. We call our art "Living Rocks".

[ Newly Identified! ] - James also photographed Elizabeth's partner, Len, at the same Eugene event. His skill is evident, and their planned website will be linked here when it is up. Elizabeth writes, "We have performed around the country and now live in Southwest Florida where in addition we install free standing arches, egg shaped stacks, and other sculptures in people's gardens."
